HOW DO I REGISTER?
Register your pod by going to the registration page for your camp location. http://soccerkidssfcamp.registernation.com for San Francisco Camps or http://soccerkidsmarincamp.registernation.com for Marin Camps. Find the camp you are interested in and click to register. It will cost $1 to complete your registration.

I’VE REGISTERED. HOW DO I PAY AND CREATE A ROSTER?
Registering will hold your camp spot until we receive payment. This must be done by mailing a check for tuition in the amount of $16,495 to SoccerKids at P.O. Box 231486 Encinitas, CA 92024. Payment must be received within 10 days. If you are in a time crunch or prefer, a wire or bank transfer is also acceptable. Contact me at coachjaime@soccerkids.com If we don’t receive your payment within 14 days, you risk losing your space to the next pod on the wait-list. Once we have payment, we will contact you for roster names and email addresses.

WHY CAN’T I PAY ONLINE?
We have more flexibility should a refund or cancellation be necessary. Credit card fees we couldn’t get back in such a situation would be in the $100’s of dollars

CAN POD MEMBERS PAY INDIVIDUALLY?
No. We understand paying by check is a hassle and prefer to only inconvenience one camper. This way the rest can pay that person electronically, preferably without fees. It also adds a level of responsibility to the group to safeguard last minute cancellations.

WHAT IF WE DON’T HAVE ENOUGH KIDS TO CREATE A POD?
We are asking individuals or those with small groups to contact us separately with the number in their group, the age range and which sessions they are interested in. If we have the right mix we will reach out in order to facilitate a combining of your pods or adding individuals to share the cost

WHAT AGES DO YOU ACCEPT FOR CAMP?
Accepted camp age is 5+ years. We can do camps for kids from 5 to 12 years of age.

I HAVE A 5 YEAR OLD AND AN 8 YEAR OLD. CAN THEY PLAY TOGETHER?
We highly recommend you keep your pod within two years in age of each other. But understand siblings together will be easier to manage. In this case we ask that your younger child play up rather than vice-versa.

ARE CAMPS CO-ED?
Yes, but ultimately you are determining your pods

DOES MY CHILD NEED TO WEAR A MASK?
New guidelines as of July 24 require everyone 10 and older to wear a mask while at camp. Kids 2-10 are recommended to wear a face covering. We will not require your child to wear a mask or shield. In the course of play, understand there will be contact within 6 feet, but it will be passing and not sustained. We will not be going indoors with your child except for use of the bathroom which will be staggered and where they will need to wear a mask.

WHAT IS A CUSTOM CAMP?
We understand our current schedule may not fit your groups needs. Maybe you want a morning camp. Maybe you want the three weeks to saddle two sessions or five weeks of camp. Maybe you have a big yard and want the camp at your home or you have access to an alternate field. We have staff available to provide a flexible, custom situation. Let us know what you need and we will do our best to make it happen.

HOW MANY COACHES WILL THERE BE?
We plan to keep a 1-8 coach to kid ratio. Most camps will likely have a head coach and support coach.

WHAT HAPPENS IF A COACH OR KID GETS SICK?
We need to follow the health guidelines. This includes testing and quarantine period until everyone is tested negative before we can return to camp. Whatever is missed will have an opportunity to be made up at a later session or during our last session which we are reserving for just such a situation. As a pod, we are all in this together. It will be imperative that we do all we can to stay healthy. This means that your child will only be able to do this one camp for the three week block.

WHAT GEAR DOES MY CHILD NEED FOR CAMP?
The only equipment needed will be shin guards and a glove. The coach will let you know which days that gear is necessary. We will have shin guards for sale for $15 if you want to pick some up from us.

OUR POD DOESN’T LIKE BASKETBALL. CAN WE JUST DO SOCCER AND BASEBALL FOR CAMP?
Sure! The camps can be tailored to you our the children’s liking. If you just want to do soccer every day, that’s fine.

CAN OUR POD JUST DO 3x A WEEK?
This is the issue. The coaches went from seeing 400 kids over the course of 30hrs a week to now being restricted to teaching 12 kids for 3 week block. In order to compensate them in similar fashion, those 12 kids need to pay around $5K a week. We could do it for 3x a week, but the coach still needs to make that weekly amount to keep their current compensation. For example, just to pay for field rental, before paying the coach, it is $250 PER DAY!
We understand it is a lot and would be happy to offer more hours to the pod, but people don’t know what their school schedules will be or don’t want that many hours. It leaves us in a situation where we don’t know how coaches/teachers can survive. Sadly, there are coaches/teachers out their tutoring that will be seeing several groups a week, but that is against health guidelines and we don’t feel comfortable adding to the risky behavior.

CAN WE JUST HAVE A POD OF 4?
This is the issue. The coaches went from seeing 400 kids over the course of 30hrs a week to now being restricted to teaching 12 kids for 3 week block. In order to compensate them in similar fashion, those 12 kids need to pay around $5K a week. We could do it for 3x a week or with only 4 kids, but the coach still needs to make that weekly amount to keep their current compensation. For example, just to pay for field rental for 4 kids, even before paying the coach, it would be $60 each child EACH DAY for the three hours!
